They did a terrible job and stole pain medications out of my cabinet.

First the window was 10-1, they did not show until 2. No phones calls to say they would be late. They were to clean carpets, grout, and a recliner. It was a terrible job. I called and the said they would be here 4 days later by 10. NO SHOW. I called at 1, (of course no one was there any time I called) and the Regional Mgr called about 2 saying there truck broke down. He then came at 5 to fix it. I got nothing but excuses and he said he completed the job. There still was dirt on the edges of the carpet. I recleaned the Recliner and they never even touched the back of the chair. He made excuses about the grout and only part of it was clean. Unfortunately, I did not check the internet on them first. I am out a bunch of money with charges that they did even do. I will be reporting to the BBB.

Upcharged for Deep Cleaning that did not clean

Phone quote per coupon was $70. Actual price was $100 for standard cleaning. Was told a couple stains would not come out without deep cleaning which cost extra $50. The stains are still there. Called to follow up and was told by operator that Technician would call me back. Called again 2 days later still no response. Would never use their services again. Could have did the same with a Rug Doctor. Bait and switch pricing, poor services provided and a complete lack of follow through. I just want the stains removed which is why I called a cleaning service.

American cleaning crew does not honor their own appointments

American cleaning crew (coupon from mailed value pack) Scheduling beware!! I made an appointment well in advance to have my very small St. Louis Park living/dining room and small hallway cleaned. This company gave me a window of 1-4 in the pm. I was to be called 15 minutes before they arrived. I waited all afternoon and when no one called by 3: 50, I called the company. The person who answered was Jim and he told me he was surprised that I had not heard from the crew and that he would call them and they would call me right away. 45 minutes later, I got a call from the crew person who told me he could not call me because he was in a dangerous situation with electricity being involved.(Interesting to note that he or any of his crew did not let his home office know about the situation he was in) The crew person said he could come but it would be another 25 minutes and of course with central time it is very dark and I also had another appointment at 6:00. He then said he could come in the am 8-10:00. I agreed and thought I was quite accepting of the situation. The next morning, no call and after 10:00 I called the office and since no one answered, had to leave a detailed message. Jim called back at 10:40 and had no idea who he was talking to and I needed to tell him the situation again. He said he would check into it and call me back. He finally did an hour later and wanted to send a crew out later that afternoon. I refused and told him that the situation was ridiculous that the company did not know what they were doing and who or where they were supposed to be. Jim started with the "well we can give a discount etc." but never really apologized even though I had told him that I need to have someone help me with clearing things since I use a cane not to mention that it was very frustrating to set apart time for a service that never showed up. Bottom line is DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU HAVE UNLIMITED TIME TO WAIT ON THEIR SCHEDULE!

American Cleaning Crew Inc Amazing Carpet Cleaning!

I loved that the owner/operator came and worked in the evening when I could be home. I noticed there were some complaints on your site. I'm glad I didn't read them! Before the cleaning, my carpet was awful! There were grease stains, dog urine and vomit stains on light beige nylon frieze. He restored my 23 year old carpet, so I can actually have Thanksgiving for the family! If the owner gets a bit behind, it's because he takes the time to do the job properly. I strongly recommend using American Cleaning Crew! They did an incredible job for me, at a very reasonable price!

Never hire American Cleaning Crew

American Cleaning Crew is the current version of a company owned by Jim Siganos. Siganos' M.O. is to start a company, always with "American" or sometimes "A American." The last part of the company name varies: American Carpet Masters, American Cleaning Crew, American Stainmasters, etc. Sometimes he varies it slightly, e.g., "Stain Masters" (two words), or Carpetmasters (one word or hyphenate…whatever it takes to make it look like a different company). Then he gets drummed out of business with a terrible BBB rating, and shortly starts it up again under a slightly altered name, but always including "American." He also has an Obstructing Legal Process conviction and a pending Theft of Services charge. I wish the State would shut him down. Unfortunately, I was referred to his company by a trusted friend. Siganos' technician was many hours late and did not get out a single stain or soiled traffic area, and sold me services (sanitize, deodorize) that doubled the cost. I was out at the time (this was Friday, 3/9/12), but when I returned, they had done absolutely nothing but put vacuum-cleaner like tracks on the carpet. Next business day (Monday, 3/12) I called and said that I was very dissatisfied with the job. I was meant with abusive denial, but Siganos then said grudgingly they would send someone the next day. This time I took off work to be sure I was there to see what they were doing. They called several times saying they were late and finally said they would have to reschedule for Friday. That Friday (3/16) I again took off work and waited. They never called. They never showed up. Yesterday (3/19) I called and rescheduled. In the meantime I talked with another carpet cleaner because I was doubtful I would ever get satisfaction from Siganos. The other carpet cleaner knew exactly who Siganos was and filled me in. Then I researched on the internet, and found out for myself who and what he was. So I called Siganos again and told him he was fired, he was not to show up at my home, and I would not pay him. He became extremely sarcastic, belittling and threatening. He will try to demean and bully the customer into thinking you're the one who's out of line. He will threaten, "This is being recorded!" over and over (which was fine with me), and shout over you before you can get your objections out. On his coupons he puts a lot of telephone numbers to try to indicate his company is big and everywhere, but they all roll over to his cell since he doesn't pay the people he hires. This is the worst job and the worst customer service i have ever experienced.

Wow...glad I read the reviews

Had a "window" of time from 10-1 when the ACC was supposed to come and do our carpets. I cleared my day and waited around. Called at 12:45 to find out where they were. Someone finally called back at 1:15 to tell me that he was running about 1 1/2 behind. I told him to forget it that I would find another company, that my day has been wasted. He went on about his 20 year experience and how he doesn't do a "***" job (which I thought was a little unprofessional to say to someone). He offered to give me 40% off, and I told him I'd have to think about it. I ended the conversation with "I need to go get my errands done that I had to put off (for no reason)." He responded by hanging up on me. I'm just thankful I came to this site. I will not be going back for 40% off.

Worst company ever

I got a coupon for American cleaning crew in the mail and decided to try them to clean my basement carpet. I usually use Stanley Steemer but thought I would give them a try since it was so much cheaper...now I know why! We had an appointment from 10-1. My husband took a day off of work and we put the dogs in doggy daycare. My husband called me at 1:30 and said they never showed up. I called who I assume is the owner and he said he was sorry but the people couldn't come until 3. I said fine. At 3:30, a guy called and said he just got assigned the job and could be here by 4...WTF? My husband asked for a discount and asked to speak to the manager. The guy on the phone said he would call back and never did and never showed up! When I called the owner, he said they were really late but that the cleaner should have been here and would figure it out and call me back. He never did! My husband called him and complained and the guy made it seem like it was our fault and said they had corporate accounts to take care of first and those were more important. He refused to give any further discount and we said to not come to our house and we would find a different company. We rented a rug doctor and it worked perfectly...do not hire this company. They are obviously a joke and not a real company. Never been so disgusted and pissed with customer service! I highly recommend Stanley Steemer or a rug doctor.

Bad customer service

WOW! I usually clean my furniture myself and do a pretty decent job. (I think). My husband is out of state working so I decided to hire out for the job. I called and made an appointment with American Cleaning Crew in Minneapolis from a coupon I recieved in VALUPAK. The guy (jim) was nice on the phone. I told him what kind of furniture I had, that I have been cleaning it myself with Bissel. He said thats fine. We made an appointment for the following day from 530-7 time slot. I got home around 530. The kids were hungry. I called The owner JIM to find out if the guy was on his way? He said he would call him and find out. The cleaner TOM called and said he would be there around 630 so to do what I had to do. Around 730 he shows up and says that he needs "natural Lighting" to do the job. That I have a huge job because the soils in the fabric. That he can get my couch looking close to 98% brand new. But that he needs natural lighting to do the job. He asks me what would be a good time and day to come back? I tell him tomorrow morning but I have to leave to work by 1230. He says lets shoot for 8am and I will be done by then. OK GREAT!!!! 9am in the morning the next day TOM is not here I call the shop to JIM and he says he will call tom to find out where and when he is going to be here. I get no phone call back, so I call JIM back to find out what is going on. No answer. Call again. NO ANSWER. Call again. no answer. so now I'm thinkg WTF? screening my calls. Finally TOM the cleaner calls back and says you don't need to call the shop 6 times I told you the time slot would be from 8-1030. I said no you said 8 its 930 I have to be to work. He says I need to appreciate that he knows how to clean upholstery. I should be thankful to him for even coming back!!! WTF? this guy is crazy. Tom was supposed to be here the previous night doing it and he needed "natural lighting" seriously??? He says he is not in the "mood" to argue with me. I tell him he needs to be here it was supposed to be done the night before. he tells me he is getting the proper cleaning supplies and he is right around the corner. he will be there in a few minutes. OK hung up. 1030 comes around still no call no show. I call JIM. he actually answers after I block my phone number. LOL wow! I get a random phone call from a guy named vince who is calling about cleaning my furniture. I say ok? He said that it was handed to him and he will be here within 20 minutes. I call JIM and tell him it is now 1100 and nobody is here. He sounds surprised. they should have already been to my house and done. Tom gave the job to vince and he should of been here. I told him the story of how I was treated. He apologized and it was the first he has heard of anything. He said he was going to call VINCE and to find out where he was. I told him that I had to be to wrok at 1230 so if he can still get here to do the job before then I will still continue to use the service. He calls vince. Jim calls back to let me know he will be right there and assures me that the job will be done before 1230. Vince shows up at 1140 to tell me that he needs to do a spot treatment before he can clean my furniture cause it may come out with white bleach spots if he cleans it because I have cleaned it previous with my own cleaner. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? On top of all this I had to pay 53.00 for him to do it....I need this done. So he says that he will get the furniture cleaned. He has 20 years experience I can make them look new. we just have to make sure I won't ruin them with what I put on it. OK let it dry in 24 hours call me and I will come clean them. THURSDAY comes around I think to myself *** these people. All this run around *** is *** me off why amd I giving theese people my money after all this. I make an appointment with another company to be here at 9 today. Vince calls I tell him that Nothing happened to the test my furniture is fine. that I hired another company to come. He says don't do that I thought we were good when I left. I don't understand why you would do that. I tell him my reasoning. He was great but this company sucked. I cancel with the other company. (why?) and he finished the job. My couches still stink...I see a few stains...I do a better job then he did and I can have my couches smelling like lavender. URGH. I'm out 140.00. Sucks I am such a sucker!!!

Diddo the above complaints. Tom the "I've been cleaning carpets for 30 years out of my sketchy van that contains state of the art cleaning equipment" just stopped by 5 days after our scheduled time slot.

Said his car broke down and then tried to upsell us a bunch of B.S. My wife and I eventually asked him to leave.

Anyone have a good experience with a cleaning crew?

:) I had Danny out, and I had very good service, also explanation about the work, what my carpet and tile product would be, pricing was a bit more than expected, but I have dog/cat and many other animals visit my home, and all that odor is gone. He called, gave me a time of arrival, so no problems here at all.

I wonder if ACC would be on time more often if they didn't have to spend so much time online responding to their poor customer service. Our saga with them is similar: Missed appointments, house in chaos for days waiting for them to show up without even the courtesy of a call to explain, only to have them try to upsell us on things we had not desire to purchase. I hope they go out of business.

Here's what I just filed with the Better Business Bureau:

On his coupons he puts a lot of telephone numbers to try to indicate his company is big and everywhere, but they all roll over to his cell since he doesn’t pay a receptionist or “office manager” he hires. (The current company phone, 952-253-****, is disconnected. You can only get a hold of Siganos if you know his cell phone, which is 952-955-****.)

Please warn people away from this vendor! Thank you!

All Jen would have to do is contact American Cleaning Crew and let them know she was not satisfied with the cleaning performed. All of the companys work is guaranteed in writing. Our appointments are scheduled mon thru sat and we set them up in a window of arrival. These windows can be 8 to 10, 10 to 1, 1 to 4 and 4 to 7. We do call our customers sometime within this window a half hour before we will arrive. They are set up in these windows as each job is of a different size and considering time of travel. Each job varies as to how long it will take to complete and we stay until the job is done right and the customer signs off stating they are happy and satisfied with the cleaning performed in which by the way Jen did 2 times. We did communicate with Jen and reschedule the appointment as was necessary to get the job done right. So not sure why she feels the need to go on and on and on about it. So once again if Jen is not satisfied with the end result she simply needs to call the company and we will schedule a time for a supervisior to come out and validate and verify her concerns. If found necessary will redo any work at no charge. Unfortunately in the service industry things do sometimes happen which cause us to be running behind or occasionally have to reschedule and appointment do to an equipment or vehicle problem. We do the best we can to stay in touch and communicate with our customer so they are very aware of whats going on and together we can decide what or which is the best way to handle an unexpected situation or problem. Anyone who knows anything about the service industry knows that occassionally there might be a problem and all the company can do is stay in touch with the customer if such a problem may arrise. We hope Jen will contact us and actually let us know by a phone call there is a problem and give us a chance to resolve it for her, instead of going on the internet and telling a very one sided story. We know anyone reading realizes this and knows there is always 2 sides to every story.

Thank you,

Steve, customer service

Could have written this story this same story with 3 days of misdirection and chaos waiting for them to show up and then the up charging with no consideration of the customer inconveniences.
